Introduction

Smoke Shop Kart (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates four retail smoke shops in Central Florida and this website (the “Website”). We respect your privacy and keep our collection of personal information to the minimum a retail business needs. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Website you agree to the practices described here.

What does this policy cover?

This policy applies to information we handle:

  • On this Website;
  • When you call, email, or otherwise contact one of our shops;
  • When you visit a shop in person, to the limited extent described below.

It does not cover third-party websites or services we link to, including our delivery partner, which operate under their own privacy policies.

Adults 21 and over only

Our shops, our products and this Website are for adults 21 years of age and older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. The age confirmation shown when you enter the Website stores only a yes-or-no flag in your own browser for the length of your visit; it is not personal data, and it never reaches our servers. If you believe someone under 21 has provided us personal information, contact any of our shops and we will delete it.

Information we collect

The Website has no customer accounts, no online checkout and no contact forms, so it collects very little:

  • Technical data. Like almost every website, our hosting infrastructure records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps), and our analytics described below measures page visits and interactions in aggregate. We use these only to operate, secure and improve the site.
  • Information you give us. If you call or email a shop, we receive whatever you choose to share, such as your name, phone number, and the products you are asking about.
  • In store. We check a government-issued photo ID for every sale, as Florida and federal law require. We look at it; we do not photograph, scan, or digitally store your ID or the information on it.

How we use information

  • To comply with Florida and federal age-verification law, including Florida Statutes Chapter 569;
  • To answer your questions and hold or order products you ask about;
  • To operate, secure and improve the Website;
  • To comply with other legal obligations, such as tax and record-keeping requirements that apply to retail sales.

Cookies, local storage and analytics

The age confirmation uses your browser’s session storage, which clears when you close the browser. The Website uses Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used: which pages are visited, and how visitors interact with things like our delivery and phone buttons. Google Analytics sets cookies for this purpose and processes the data under Google’s privacy policy; we use it for measurement only, not advertising, and we never connect it to your name. You can control cookies through your browser settings, or opt out with Google’s Analytics opt-out.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share it only:

  • With service providers who help us run the Website (such as our hosting and analytics providers), who may process technical data on our behalf;
  • When delivery is available and you place a delivery order, with and through our delivery partner, Saucey, whose own terms and privacy policy govern that transaction, including its identity and age verification;
  • When required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process;
  • In connection with a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to the transferred information.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the small amount of information we hold. No website or system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we collect little and keep less, which is the best safeguard there is.

Your rights

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will honor the request unless the law requires us to keep it. Contact any shop using the details below. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.

Third-party links

The Website links to third-party sites, such as brand websites, Google Maps and our delivery partner. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the effective date above. Continued use of the Website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
