What does an ice catcher do?
Notches in the tube hold ice above the water line, cooling the draw on its way up. It is the feature that makes the tall pieces feel different, not just look it.
Is bigger actually better?
Smoother, mostly; more height and water means more cooling. The trade is storage and cleaning, which is why the eight inch beakers still outsell the wall.
Do I need ID?
Yes: 21 and over with a valid ID at the counter, and delivery orders get the second check at the door.
